Ashford M20 suspension bridge opened

The much-delayed pedestrian bridge opened this weekend. At last!

Iconic or ironic?

It provides a mighty-fine route from the town centre into the Eureka Leisure Park.

This is the same view as those taken in May 2011 when the bridge sections were lifted into place.

Tragic footnote 6 November 2011
A motorway closure was last night was reportedly caused by the first attempted suicide from the bridge.
