The online community of school teachers (and others) using Twitter, one of the 'free' tools of the internet, got into a spat this week over who helps run the weekly hour of discussion using the hashtag #UKedchat.
It's good to find that many teachers are still principled and understand that companies pay for a reason. They love the independent, free-spirit of collaboration online. It's CPD on the level and unmoderated.
Meanwhile, companies are struggling to find ways of controlling and monetizing the 'free' areas of social networking. They want to occupy the void from the collapse of LA CPD and advisory services.
Turf wars, of a sort.
